Product composition and application
ThermoWhite® Gefitas® PE 3/300 RS is a waterproofing layer against rising ground moisture that also protects buildings against radon gas entering from the ground (certified as radon-resistant by IAF-Radioökologie GmbH). The membrane consists of a 200 µm thick PE film with an integrated aluminium layer, laminated onto a 3 mm PE foam.
Properties
The product offers high perforation resistance, elongation and tear resistance. Adhesive tape integrated along the longitudinal edge enables the membranes to be joined easily.
Radon exposure in buildings
The radioactive noble gas often enters buildings unhindered and damages health. Modern materials such as Gefitas® PE 3/300 RS effectively protect against radon from the ground.
